Our Vision
Our aim at Madinat al-Zahra is to establish a centre of excellence based on the four main branches which collectively complete our institute – a mosque, community centre, school and retail units. This UK project aims to set an example by addressing the needs of future generations, guiding them in religious and worldly understanding. It will create an innovative space valued by the community, focusing on education and engagement.
Our Vision is to develop an iconic feature that is ergonomically designed, innovative, and creative, one that will be appreciated by the community at large. Education and community engagement will be a key objective and a focal point in the development of this project.
The Madīnat al-Zahrā complex will feature four key elements:
-
Mosque
-
Community Centre
-
Boarding School
-
Retail
Our vision coincides with the priorities of the Mission of MQI:
-
Promoting the message of peace and harmony through integration and inter-cultural dialogue
-
Building bridges between diverse communities of the district and residents within the locality
-
Developing mutual partnerships with the local authority and other governmental institutions and community and voluntary sector organisations.
Chairman Minhaj Ul Quran International
Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri
The Madinat al Zahra project, meaning "City of Zahra," is inspired by the vision of Shaykh ul Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir ul Qadri. As a flagship overseas initiative of MQI, it aims to offer a variety of religious, educational, and social programmes. Rooted in the ideology of Minhaj ul Quran International, the project promotes peace, interfaith harmony, and empowerment. The goal is to create a modern, state-of-the-art complex, with each design element focused on inclusion, empowerment, and purification. I pray for the project’s success.
Deputy Chairman (BOG)
Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri
Madinat al Zahra will be one of MQI's largest overseas projects, designed to be a community hub fostering inclusion, coexistence, and cohesion. MQI recognises the importance of empowering individuals through education, equipping them with the knowledge to improve society. As the Centre of Excellence, it will offer people of all ages the opportunity to learn both modern and classical sciences in a peaceful, state-of-the-art environment. I am excited to be part of this project and pray for its success.
