Literary Gathering & Naʿat Ceremony Honouring Dr. Sarwar Hussain Naqshbandi

Madinat al Zahra proudly hosted a grand literary event and Naʿat gathering in honour of the esteemed scholar, poet, and Naʿat reciter Dr. Sarwar Hussain Naqshbandi, celebrating his debut and award-winning Naʿat collection “Huzoor Jante Hein.” The programme drew an impressive turnout, with brothers and sisters attending in large numbers to benefit from an evening of spirituality, literature, and heartfelt devotion.



Programme Leadership & Anchoring

The event was held under the supervision of Shaykh Muhammad Afzal Saeedi, Director of Madinat al Zahra.Renowned poet Mrs. Samia Naz (Leeds) served as the host for the evening, guiding the programme with grace and eloquence.


Opening Recitations

The gathering commenced with a beautiful Tilawat by Qari Mubashar, followed by soul-enriching Naʿat recitations from Muhammad Ijaz Qadri, setting a spiritually uplifting tone for the evening.


Special Guests & Contributors

Distinguished personalities from the UK’s literary, academic, and Naʿat circles participated in the event, including:

Guest of Honour: Dr. Sarwar Hussain Naqshbandi

The highlight of the evening was the address and performance by the guest of honour, Dr. Sarwar Hussain Naqshbandi (Head of Hassan bin Thabit Research Institute, Minhaj University, Lahore, Pakistan). He captivated the audience with his spoken-word poetry and heartfelt Naʿat recitations—many from his celebrated collection—delivered in his own melodious voice. His reflections on the writing of “Huzoor Jante Hein” offered attendees a unique insight into his creative and spiritual journey.


Acknowledgement & Community Initiative

Towards the close of the programme, Shaykh Muhammad Afzal Saeedi expressed his sincere gratitude to all attendees for their support and participation.He also introduced the Family Stone-Block Project, an important initiative aimed at supporting Phase 2 of the ongoing construction of Madinat al Zahra. The Shaykh warmly encouraged all participants to join the campaign and contribute towards the continued development of this vital community centre.
